Our charity exists to address the barriers to participation in snowsport. Disability Snowsport UK’s vision is of mountains and ski slopes free from these barriers, where disabled children, young people and adults can learn and take part alongside family, friends and peers. Barriers to taking part include lack of accessible facilities, lack of adaptive instructors and adaptive equipment. As a result of this, disabled people are denied the joy and health benefits of snowsport.
We enable disabled people to participate in adaptive skiing and snowboarding, helping them to transform their confidence, fitness, friendships and unlock their potential to enrich their quality and enjoyment of life.
Our DSUK Winter Appeal this year runs from 2 December to 9 December as part Big Give. We are delighted to announce that we have the opportunity of match funding as part of our Winter Appeal. We hope to raise a minimum of £2,500 which would then be match funded through Big Give and therefore raise £5,000 this festive season to help bring joy, exhilaration and friendships of skiing and snowboarding for disabled people. £5,000 would help provide 160 adaptive snowsport lessons at our centres in across the UK.
Use the link between 2 December and 9 December and donate what you can. Every pound will be match funded if we raise our minimum of £2,500. Make a difference this winter.
