Become an adaptive snowsport instructor

We help provide comprehensive and professional training for instructors and volunteers:
  • Instructor training is organised and run through BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors)
  • On-snow volunteer training is run through DSUK
  • Disability Awareness Training is run through DSUK
DSUK Volunteer Helper Training

Our activities would not be possible without the skills and commitment of our volunteer helpers.

They provide support and help for our skiers and snowboarders during travel on our Activity Weeks, in the hotel and around the resort as well as assisting our qualified instructors on the slope.

M
any of our volunteers also regularly take part in Local Group activities.

We run both Disability Awareness weekends for our helpers in the UK. We sometimes organise training weeks in Europe. When conditions allow us we also provide training during our activity weeks.

Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and have different levels of skiing/snowboarding abilities. The things they have in common are a sense of humour, a desire to help others and a love of skiing and/or snowboarding.

Volunteer training usually takes place throughout the UK and will be advertised through our e-News and social network sites. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
